Toowoomba All Holden Day 2018 @ Valleys Rugby League Grounds
Sep 30 all-day
This year is the 33rd annual “All Holden Day”, and every year the Toowoomba All Holden Day gets bigger and bigger as each year numbers continue to grow, and the best thing about this year, Monday is a public holiday – again!!

The Club has put together two options for this year’s show for those attending.

OPTION 1: Accommodation has been organised for the Saturday night, as well there is a dinner for those who wish to attend.  The accommodation is 4 star, with under cover parking right outside your room. The cost is $135.00 per night twin share.
In past years we have had the dinner at the restaurant onsite however it is now closed.  I have sourced an alternative dinner venue (Fire & Ice Restaurant) within 2 minutes walking distance from the motel.
The great part about staying in Toowoomba, as it’s not only a good social event, you can check in at 1pm Saturday, give your car another quick clean and only have about 5kms to travel to the show grounds on Sunday morning.
VENUE: Glenfield Comfort Inn Ruthven St
PH: (07) 4635 4466 876
Booking ID is HSV Owners
If you are interested in staying as well as having dinner, please contact Craig Barrass on 0411 344 517 ASAP as he has only reserved 10 rooms, (the Carnival of Flowers has been moved to this weekend, so it’s a super busy time)
Once booked, please let Craig know.
OPTION 2: You can make your own way as a part of the convoy. The convoy to Toowoomba will meet at Redbank Plains Shopping Centre at 5.30am for a 5.45am departure. Convoy will meet up with fellow club members in Toowoomba that stayed the night so we can set up the display.
Please complete entry your show entry form online at
Please contact Craig Barrass on 0411 344 517 or via email

Information for sprint rounds

For QR scoring please check their website. The major club trophy will be done using the regularity format with trophies at the end of the year for first to third. We will also be issuing a trophy for fastest road car and fastest track car over the 4 events as well (scoring will be done on best 2 events).

There will be at least 3*6 lap sessions plus passenger ride session at discretion of track management – time permitting.

The cost is $175 per entry payable on line with entry. You will be running in the Open Sprint category. Late entries after 9.00am day before event will attract a $30 additional fee. Other costs apart from running costs are QR AASA track licence of $60 per year or $25 per day. A timing device can be bought for $120.00 which will last approx 3-5 years or can be hired for $20 a day with a $120 deposit required with $100 refund upon return. QR operates EFTPOS facilities at both tracks for Licence, Transmitter, and helmet hire.

Participants should make themselves aware of safety equipment requirements by visiting QR website but in short it is helmet, long sleeve shirt, long pants and shoes. If running a full competition harness the club strongly recommends the use of a Hans type neck restraint.

Entries will need to be done via QR Website and you need to first register as a user then go to open sprint group dates and select date to complete your entry for each session. Please note we are no longer running our own group. You will be running with entrants that match your time. Some may or may not be fellow club members.

Entrants should arrive at track at approx 11.45 for sign in with the drivers briefing normally taking place approximately 12.30pm with first groups on track around 1.00pm.

Entrants wishing to participate in club trophy will need to nominate their target time after session 1 to the appropriate club official.

Expected finish time is 4.00pm. Prospective entrants should check the motorsport tab on our website to view handy tips for vehicle preparation for the sprints.

If you want to race this is not the event for you. If you want to stretch your cars legs and improve your driving skills we would love to have you along. You should also be aware that your car is unlikely to be covered by comprehensive insurance for any damage whilst on track.

If you are competing you will be issued with an entry form at the gate. You will then make your way to the staging lanes where you will complete the Willowbank Raceway form and hand to scrutineer. They will check your helmet and issue you with a number and the number will be written on your windows with white boot polish. This washes off afterwards with no damage. At 4.30pm the lanes will be open and you will be free to run until event end. We will run our competition for points till 6.00pm. Once you have your club timing nomination form and have run down the track a few times you are ready to nominate your target time. Time slips are printed for each run and are available at the base of the tower for pick up. Please collect your time slips and if you want to be in the club scoring hand them in at 6.00pm to the appropriate club official.

For 2018 we are going to run the dial your own time format for scoring. After your test passes you will hand in your information sheet which will identify you and your race number and you will nominate your time. Points will be allocated for the closest 2 passes for the remainder of the meet to the nominated time and you will need to compete in both events to qualify for the end of year trophy. The trophies on offer will be First to Third Male and First to Third Female.

It is always a low stress great fun event. So please come out and have some fun and bring your mates with you. No need to advise your attendance in advance. Just make sure you are at the main gate by 4.00pm on the day.
