Navigation/Observation Run Sunday 19th September 2010 to Cedar Creek Estate

Members, family and friends are invited to come along and enjoy this event. Our destination is the Cedar Creek Estate Vineyard & Winery at Mount Tambourine. Members will meet at the Hyperdome Shopping Centre Loganholme near Hungry Jacks.

All entrants are given instructions on where to go, how to get to the final location and the route you should take; that’s the navigation.

Along the way you will be asked questions about things you will see for which you are awarded points; that’s the observation.

Time taken for the run above or below the set time incurs point penalties.

The winner will be the car with the most points.

At our destination, there will be plenty to see and do. There’s the Cellar Door for wine tasting and purchase. There’s the Glow Worm Caves, where you will be guided through the magical stalagmite and stalactite formations filled with thousands of glowing glow worms. There’s also the Arthur Hamblin Art Gallery for you to wander through.

We will have lunch at Cedar Creek Estate, in their Restaurant overlooking the lake. Lunch will consist of a 2 course meal (vegetarian option available), with tea and coffee. There is also a kids menu.

Cost for the day includes $35 for lunch (which includes the cost of wine tasting) for adults and $12 per child. Glow Worm Cave tours (which are optional) are $8 per adult and $4 per child (discounted rate).

Please note that Cedar Creek Estate has offered us the option of selecting one of the four main meals from their lunch package, rather than the standard two with an alternative drop. Please consider the menu which is below and advise Mandy of your selection when reserving your place for the day.
