The club was formed in 1982 and has an average membership of over 150 members. To be a member, you must qualify by owning a HDT improved vehicle of G.M. origin which are I.D. plated or eligible for same, or a HSV improved Commodore or Statesman which are I.D. plated (subject to club bylaws). Associate membership is also available.

The object of the club is to promote friendship and goodwill among people who have a common interest in HDT & HSV special cars. The club has bi-monthly meetings on the last Friday of the month and these are usually held at a HSV Dealership. Our Club has an event on each month, and you will always be able to bring your family and friends. Some examples of Club events might be a navigation/observation run, Dinner night out, Sausage Sizzle, Go-Kart Racing, motorsport days as spectators or participants, weekends away, car shows, Convoy drives in the country and a Christmas party for adults and children. Plenty of variety for members to choose from.

Upon joining, you will also receive a monthly newsletter, which will give you news and information about club events, new models of HSV cars and equipment, technical advice, and information on motorsport in general.
